With a few days apart, I would like to summarize my conclusion that journey times.

Now with few days distance I would like to sum up my personal conclusion .

We already went on very small, old ships with few stars only like BLACK PRINCE

We were already very small, old ships with a few stars such as the BLACK PRINCE

and even on ships like NORWEGIAN EPIC,

but also on ships like NORWEGIAN EPIC,

MSC FANTASIA QUEEN MARY 2, and my CELEBRITY EQUINOX EURODAM favorite ship.

also ships of this size as Boudicca, ARTEMIS OCEAN COUNTESS (then Lili Marleen), DOLPHIN VOYAGER us are not unknown.

So smaller ships like comparable in size BOUDICCA, ARTEMIS OCEAN COUNTESS ( our very first cruise as Lili Marleen), DOLPHIN VOYAGER are nothing strange to us.

But with every new cruise we made our standards increase and we can not rate a ship in objective way to for us but always in comparison to our previous voyages.

So what we like and what we dislike apply only to us and each of you might have your own opinion and different on the ship.

With each cruise, we make, however, increase our claims and we have our problems more objectively Ship to assess for us, but only in comparison to previous trips.

We liked very much

- the ship - really a nice country inn style
- the calls in Livorno, Barcelona and in theory in Nice where we berthed or would berth very close to the city centers
- the restaurant service (might sound stupid - but in very few cases there was also too much than too less)
- the friendly welcome in our cabin
- a captain you may touch: Stefano Ravera

Very well liked us

- the ship - really a beautiful country style
- which starts in Livorno, Barcelona and theoretically in Nice, where we have created very close to town and had
- the restaurant service (in some cases, sometimes even more than enough - even if it sounds stupid)
- the friendly reception at the cabin
- a hands-on captain Stefano Ravera

has not fallen quite as good

us - that there are no dining anytime, although it would have been place, probably because it lacked the staff
- All meals (except Chef's Table, dinner on the balcony, Sabatini and seafood) are always needed after-peppered (Policy)
- the quality of the meat - we have already experienced differently, even in Zuzahlrestaurant area!
- the quality of the coffee - it was either one extreme: syrup coffee or for a fee at an extremely strong roasted coffee
- the dishes in the main restaurant: was in our canteen
- a lack of coat hooks in the cabin

We did not like so much

- the missing anytime dining option although there was space but no crew members available
- that you need to post-season all dishes (except Chef's Table, Ultimate Balcony Dining, Sabatini's and all seafood) due to their policy
- the quality of the meat - that is something we experienced much more better especially in restaurants with cover charges!
- the quality of the coffee - you could the the one extreme: syrup-coffee or against payment extreme very strong roasted coffee
- the china in the main dining room: looked like in our canteen
- a missing hook to hang wet clothes in your cabin

What made me angry were

- the shows - I dislike the true own composition and the Motown-Show was very weak and I was really looking forward to see - but that is a question of individual taste
- the last night before debarkation: as no bags will be collected after 22.00 hrs
- the missing reception in the night time incl. missing phone numbers at the public phones

Ärgerlich waren

- die Shows - so diese real original compositions, I do not like and the Motown show, which I had just got was kind of weak

to my problems

Coming back to my problems

Mattress: I had 40 cruises before and never had a problem to sleep. Could happen but a good hotel organisation need to be prapared for such a situation that there are guests who might need alternatives.

Air Condition: This may happen on ships. May also happen in a hotel ashore. But there you might change the hotel. We had the same comparable problems on CENTURY, on EURODAM (and she is still my favorite ship) etc.. We accepted the critic of a Hotel Director that it might be on us. That is why we travel with our thermometer to find out the settings without changing the temperature varies between 68F and 76F. We also have our own tape always with us So that we need to ask Not Do anyone for help and we still can feel comfortable.

We had similar problems on the CENTURY, on EURODAM (And it's still my favorite ship) and so on. Back then, we are criticized by a hotel manager realized that it could be up to us. The missing willingness to call a supervisor because you have too much self-confidence and you want to be bigheaded just to win against the guest really pissed me off (sorry - but there is no more suitable expression).

Sue (Front Desk Manager) and Stefano (First Purser) learned on the 6th day on my problem and acted accordingly and not just gave words.

I am not sure if I would acted in such a professional way they acted: I might give up the guest because it was already the 6th of totally eight days and they did everything that I can see that it can work and I have reasons to book Princess again. That was totally great what they did in the very last two days.

Sue (Front Desk Manager) and Stefano (First Purser) on 6 Day trip out of the problems and acted accordingly, not just spoken.

I do not know if I would have reacted so prefessionell as they have done it, I probably would have given up the guest, because it already 6th eight days, and they have done everything so I can see that it can be different and I once again Princess book. That was absolutely great, what they have done over the last two days.

Would we book again OCEAN PRINCES?

Possibly. - The problem was simply the day were closed on the ocean waves because of the open areas. Since it was just too small on the rest, who remained. Therefore would have to agree the route and we discover new ports and places we can not reach with others. No reason why we make new friends, like Lori, Jim, Nina and Cheryl, but now we may even prefer the flexible seating. Would we book OCEAN PRINCESS again???

Maybe - the problem was the day when all open areas were closed due to sea movements. It was too small on the remained area. So the intinerary must be perfect and we need to discover new port and places we cannot make it with others. Nothing against new friends like Lori, Jim, Nina and Cheryll but we prefer the flexible dining. So sorry to learn that one restaurant was every night empty which might be set for this offer accordingly.

Would we book Princess again???

Let us make a direct comparison between Princess, Holland America and Celebrity. We went this year on CELEBRITY EQUINOX, WESTERDAM and OCEAN PRINCESS. We felt most comfortable. So Holland America would be our first choice. But I had problems which were not transferable. And my opinion can change from one moment to the next on ZAANDAM because we will have an oceanview cabin and there will be another crew on board. In total I like more the food on Holland America and the entertainment meet more my demand. A Princess-voyage must be much more cheaper if intinerary and ship will be compareable. The hardware CELEBRITY EQUINOX was great but the restaurant-service did not meet my expectations. But honestly all three are very close together so I guess small details and prices will influence our decision whom we will book again. So we talk on small things and fine differences in the range of good to very good and not good to bad. But nevertheless: as long as it is a ship - we are easy to care... as long as they do what we want... Why cannot one cruise line pack all single elements which I like from all my various cruises on one unique ship???

Would we book again Princess?

we take a direct comparison between Princess, Holland America and Celebrity. We were at this year's CELEBRITY EQUINOX, the Westerdam and just OCEAN PRINCESS. We felt on WESTERDAM most comfortable. Why would the first Holland America Choice. Also because I had problems, but they were hardly transferable. And the views can be on the ZAANDAM change dramatically, because we once again have an outside cabin and another crew is on board. Overall, I found the food better and the conversation engaging. The Princess trip would have to be much cheaper if the route and the ship would be comparable. The hardware CELEBRITY EQUINOX was great, but the restaurant service was not always around, as I would have wished for. But overall, all three are actually very close together that little nuances and prices probably decide just who we book again. We're talking about small and subtle differences, so rather in good or very good place good and bad. But really matter: the main thing ship - in the direction we're easy to care ... as long as they do what we want ... Why can not a society all the individual elements that I like from various ships and put it on a ship?
